Our Story
From our founding in 2024 to the community-focused charity we are today — this is our journey.
Our Journey
- 2024
Founded & Registered
St George's Community Children's Project Limited was founded and registered as a charity. On 11 April 2024, we were registered with the Fundraising Regulator — a milestone that marked our commitment to transparent, ethical fundraising from day one.
- 2025
Growing Our Impact
With our Fundraising Regulator registration renewed from 1 May 2025, we focused on expanding our programmes and strengthening our ties within the local community. We launched our charitable raffle to support the ongoing work of the project.
- 2026
Today
We continue to grow, serve, and make a difference. Our registration with the Fundraising Regulator runs until 30 April 2026, and we are committed to renewing and building on our achievements for the benefit of the children and families we support.
Why We Started
St George's Community Children's Project was born out of a genuine desire to help. We saw children and families in our local area who needed more support than existing services could provide. We knew we could do something about it.
From the very beginning, our founders were guided by the belief that every child deserves access to safe, enjoyable activities and a strong support network — regardless of their family's circumstances. This belief continues to drive everything we do.
By registering as a charity and committing to the highest standards of transparency and accountability, we wanted to make sure that anyone who supported our work could do so with complete confidence that their contributions would be used for the benefit of local children.
What We've Achieved
In a short space of time, we have made meaningful progress in serving our community.
Formally registered and governed in England and Wales.
Committed to the Code of Fundraising Practice since April 2024.
Programmes and activities designed around the needs of local children.
Our Community
Our community is the heartbeat of everything we do. We serve families across our local area — families who face real challenges but who also bring immense strength, resilience, and warmth to everything they do.
We are proud to be part of this community, and we are committed to growing alongside it — listening to the needs of local families, adapting our programmes, and always putting children first.
